Doug DeMuro's thought on this car:
I love this! While the Gallardo retired as the all-time best-selling
Lamborghini, the Super Trofeo Stradale was anything but common – only
150 of these were built globally. The model was highly related to the
cars that raced in the Super Trofeo series, so it featured the same
562-horsepower V10 as the race car, a muscular-looking body kit, and a
LOT of carbon fiber to save over 150 pounds compared to the regular
Gallardo – making it a truly special car. This Gallardo looks like it
has been well-kept, as it touts relatively low mileage, a clean,
accident-free Carfax report, and almost no modifications. It's also
finished in an eye-catching color, and it boasts some great equipment
including carbon-ceramic brakes. It's a lot of fun to drive, too, with
fantastic handling and acceleration. I bet the next owner will have a
great time with it.
Highlights
- YouTuber and Cars & Bids founder Doug DeMuro recently reviewed this Lamborghini, and his video is viewable below.
- This Gallardo carries serial #47 out of 150 Super Trofeo Stradale
models ever produced, and the odometer displays about 10,900 miles.
- The attached Carfax history report lists no accidents or mileage inconsistencies in this Gallardo's past.
- According to the window sticker provided in the gallery, factory
equipment includes a carbon-ceramic braking system, a
manually-adjustable rear wing, carbon fiber interior trim, Alcantara
upholstery, carbon fiber sport seats, carbon fiber door panels, and the
Multimedia System +, and more as detailed below. Modifications reported
by the seller are limited to clear paint protection film on some of the
exterior surfaces and tinted windows.
- Launched for 2004, the Gallardo filled a gap in the Lamborghini
range that had remained empty for over a decade. It was smaller and more
affordable than the V12-powered Murciélago, so it made the brand
accessible to a wider target audience and landed in a segment dominated
by arch-nemesis Ferrari. With sharp lines and a sonorous V10 engine, the
Gallardo remained in production until 2014, when it was replaced by the
Huracán. It retired as the best-selling member of the Lamborghini range
to date.
- Unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt auto show, the Super Trofeo Stradale
was the Gallardo's ultimate evolution. It was marketed as a road-going
version of the cars that competed in the Super Trofeo one-make race
series, and it weighed 154 pounds less than the standard Gallardo thanks
in part to the widespread use of carbon fiber. Lamborghini pointed out
that the road car and the track car used the same engine, and the
Stradale's rear wing provided three times more downforce than the
Gallardo's.
- Power comes from a 5.2-liter V10, rated at 563 horsepower and 398
lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed E-Gear
automated manual transmission.
